KNOW ABOUT US

Tapas Yoga is founded by two partners – Sholanki Sarkhel and Tapas Mondal. Today, with us we have a team of teachers and our students with different targets to achieve through yoga. Some come for therapeutic reasons starting from paralysis to severe forms of lifestyle diseases. Some come for just weight loss while most of our clients today are in the younger age segment who come for fitness. People have started replacing gym with yoga and come to us for strength building, toning and internal fitness of all our physiological systems like – endocrine system, nervous system, respiratory system, digestive system etc.

 

Other than group or batch classes at different community halls and studios, we also cater to home service and couple / partner and family yoga sessions.Currently, we have more than 300+ students in only the Newtown Area of Kolkata and expanding to other parts of Kolkata as well. More than 1.7k students have benefitted from us in the last 7 years.

Sholanki Sarkhel

  • Entrepreneur with a B. Tech in Computer Engineering and then, MBA from HEC Paris
  • 5+ years of Yoga Teaching Experience
  • Mindfulness, Yogic, Mantra and Chakra Meditation Trainer
  • Yoga Wellness Instructor (Level 2), YCB, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India

Sholanki – “Coming from the corporate sector and after having experienced the stress at the job and plus a few life changing diseases, I realized the importance of yoga in a person’s wellbeing – both mental and physical. Yoga is not just what you do for an hour on the mat but it is a lifestyle and once you incorporate it into your life, you are bound to see the magic and the change that it brings in you.
Mental calmness increases in many folds and so does fitness. This is because Yoga unlike any other form of exercise is a holistic exercise that takes care, maintains and improves all the internal systems of your body leading to a healthier body and physiology. OUR TEACHERS

MEET OUR EXPERT TEAM

We have a team of teachers who are all not only experienced but qualified in the field of Yoga. They come with degrees and certificates from popular Universities like Jadavpur University, Vishwa Bharati, Ramakrishna Mission, Patanjali etc.

We, the partners, both being certified by Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India never take any teacher without proper education in yoga in our team. This is because the proper knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and the effect of different asanas on the body is very essential for a teacher to be able to teach properly to his/her students.

The other thing, we focus on is – dedication and responsibility. Without dedication and taking responsibility of his/her student, a teacher or guru cannot lead the path to help the disciple/student achieve his/her goal.
